This isn’t a sales pitch. Every year, the government allocates a percentage of its budget for the procurement of products from small businesses just like yours. I assume you already have a business and have registered your business to the proper channels.
Procurement negotiations demand time and effort on your part for you to be able to land that well-deserved contract. It is not as easy as it sounds like but it isn’t as hard as it seems either.
Scared already?
Don’t be. It takes initiative and a take-no-prisoner attitude so never falter to the Alpha dogs out there. You must understand that though there are plenty of large scale companies that have been in the procurement industry, the government gives way for small to medium enterprises (SME). You have an equal chance to every contract as any large corporation does. If you have a product that needs a market, look for places that need it.
Start looking.
The internet is so much better now. You can find contracting opportunities online by looking through several government websites that contain updates on contracting opportunities. By getting immediate access to these opportunities online, you may want to research on the department which needs the goods too. See how previous deals had been made, understand how they process their bidding agreements and find out requirements on how to start the application.
Click any of these government procurement listings and see if there is a market that needs you.
